Good morning and good Monday to all! Today I’d like to talk about the cinema, well more precisely about the price of the cinema tickets (in Spain it’s of 8 euros aprox.). For quite some time cinema owners in Spain were complaining about the gradual decreasing number of people going to the cinema which they thought might be due to the legal or illegal download of films so at the end of October they did an offer: during 21st, 22nd and 23rd October the cinema tickets would cost 2,90 euros each. The result? The sale of cinema tickets raised a 600%!. I hope those cinema owners had then clear that with a so spectacular rise in the cinema tickets sale the cause of people not going to the cinema is simply financial. The cinema is the cinema and nothing can be compared to when you sit down on your seat, the lights go down and you concentrate on the film but please sirs, adjust the price and don’t let the offer you made in October be just a simple anecdote but a wake-up call for you with positive consequences for all. Hugs!

  1. 8 euro equal 11 dollars - that is pretty close to the price here also. if you go to a matinee you get a lower price but that is getting higher all the time now too.

    1. That's the point, prices increasing while there's a recession. People download films in order to be able to watch films as by the experience here in Valencia it's obvious that they would like to watch them at a cinema instead of at home. Many thanks for your comment. Love!
