Qué he estado haciendo últimamente / What I've been recently making

Good wednesday to all! Today I'm going to tell you about the sewing and things I've been doing recently as it's been quite a long time without showing you here. But I'll start by showing you what I bought in the Valencia Creative Fair: some fabric (of couuuurse, a special pen to mark fabric, some rings to craft with them, two bracelets that will be gifts in the near future, two gift boxes, some thimble adhesives and a wood hoop which I used as an earring holder, you can see it below. I hope you like them

When Saint Patrick's day (17th March) was coming I saw many Irish food recipes in American blogs and there was one I wanted to give a try: Irish soda bread and in the third photograph you can see the result (not bad for the first time I make bread in my life...and it tasted well jajaja).

Mis compras en la Feria Creativa / My shopping at Creative Fair
El regalo que nos hizo Mª José a Mariví y a mí (observad el trabajo de bordado en mi inicial ¡precioso!/ The gift Mª José made for Mariví and me (please see the embroidery in my initial) beautiful!

Then my Irish Chain quilt. I have no much free time so little by little I'll finish this one.

I have also made this ring with a zip following the tutorial I posted some months ago with a zip brooch I made for a friend's saint day. The zip colour is dark red but I've got no idea why here it seems to be orange jaja.

Y he empezado un cojín con la técnica "quilt as you go" o sea, acolcha sobre la marcha (más o menos), aquí os enseño el primer cuadro. And I have started a cushion with the technique quilt as you go, here you have the first block.

In the Creative Fair I bought a wood hoop that I've turned into a stand for earrings and last saturday I gave it to my friend Mª Carmen as a birthday present.

And lastly at the end of March I planted two cherry tomato saplings and I already have 5!. I am very bad with plants but I think that in a couple of months I'll be able to taste a nice cherry tomatoes salad jajajaja

  1. I like your Irish Chain quilt - little by little it will get done. I will plant tomatoes in another week or two when I know it will stay warm!
